Amy Whittaker, MA

Resident In Counseling

With a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Master of Arts in Human Services Counseling with a focus on Marriage and Family, I am prepared to work with individuals across the lifespan and from diverse backgrounds. I have several years of experience serving adolescents through geriatric populations and welcome all who are seeking healing, growth, and greater emotional well-being.

I provide supportive, client-centered counseling that promotes mental wellness, personal growth, and life satisfaction. Because change is an inevitable part of life, my work focuses on helping clients adapt to challenges by developing effective coping strategies and practical skills that support meaningful and lasting change. Through a collaborative and encouraging therapeutic relationship, clients gain increased self-awareness, purpose, and resilience.

As a mature counselor with varied life experience, I bring an integrative, strengths-based approach to therapy. I incorporate evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and to empower them to make positive changes.

I welcome individuals from all backgrounds and am committed to providing compassionate, individualized care. My goal is to foster a trusting therapeutic alliance that supports healing, instills hope, and promotes lasting well-being.
