Julie Robinson, MS

Compassionate Support for Life's Challenges and New Beginnings

Life can be difficult, and sometimes we all need a safe place to pause, reflect, and find our way forward. Julie believes that healing begins with feeling truly heard, accepted, and understood. She is committed to creating a compassionate, supportive, and judgment-free environment where clients feel comfortable exploring life's challenges, discovering their strengths, and building hope for the future.

Julie earned her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from East Carolina University and is a Resident in Counseling in the Commonwealth of Virginia. For the past seven years, she has served as a school counselor at both the elementary and high school levels, providing individual and group counseling, supporting students in crisis, guiding career and college planning, implementing behavior interventions, and advocating for students and their families. This experience has strengthened her ability to build meaningful relationships, foster resilience, and support individuals through life's challenges with compassion and understanding.

Julie approaches therapy with warmth, empathy, and authenticity. She believes every individual has a unique story and tailors treatment to each client's personal goals, strengths, and experiences. Her collaborative approach empowers clients to develop practical coping skills, improve emotional well-being, and create meaningful, lasting change.

Julie incorporates evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness-based interventions, and strengths-based techniques to help clients navigate life's challenges with confidence and resilience.

Julie works with:

  • Anxiety and chronic stress

  • Depression and mood concerns

  • School-related stress and academic challenges

  • Behavioral and emotional regulation

  • Life transitions and adjustment

  • Self-esteem and identity concerns

Julie believes therapy is about more than overcoming challenges—it's about helping people reconnect with their strengths, gain new perspectives, and build lives that reflect their values and goals. Whether you're navigating a difficult season, adjusting to change, or seeking personal growth, she is committed to providing compassionate support while helping you move forward with confidence and hope.
