Resident in Counseling
Julie holds a Bachelor of Science in Recreational Therapy and a Master’s in Counseling from East Carolina University. For the past seven years, she has been dedicated to supporting students at the high school and elementary levels as a school counselor, providing individual and group counseling, assessing students in crisis, guiding career and college planning, implementing behavior modification strategies, and advocating for students and their families. Her counseling approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused techniques, and Person-centered therapy to empower clients in overcoming challenges. Julie genuinely believes that everyone has the capacity for positive change, and is committed to helping individuals recognize their strengths and achieve personal growth.
