Greg Traber, CSAC-NCAC-I
Certified Substance Abuse Counselor- Nationally Certified Addiction Counselor
My personal experience is blended with my education, my sense of humor and my down-to-earth, realistic approach to counseling.
I am a US Navy vet, I’ve been married for 29 years. I am a graduate of Old Dominion University and am a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor and a Nationally Certified Addiction Counselor. I’ve worked in the behavioral health field since 2003. My clinical experience includes individual, group counseling, adolescents, couples and families dealing with a wide variety of challenges.
I believe that all people, if given a chance within a supportive environment, can change and move forward to a healthier lifestyle. I understand that connection is vital and I want people who are experiencing challenges understand they are not alone. My passion lies in addiction counseling, "I’ve walked the walk…” so I understand the difficult, downhill, heartbreaking journey of a person with addictions. I am in recovery myself, for 20 years.
Now, I am committed to helping others overcome addictions to drugs, alcohol and/or dealing with challenges that life may bring. I honestly care without judgment and help my clients clarify their goals for treatment. I am warm, open, encouraging and direct.
