Medication Management with a Whole-Person Approach

Choosing a medication provider is about more than finding someone to prescribe medication—it's about finding someone who listens, educates, and partners with you throughout your mental health journey. Elizabeth believes the best outcomes occur when clients feel informed, involved, and empowered in every treatment decision. She is committed to providing compassionate, individualized care that considers the whole person, not just their symptoms.

With nearly 50 years of nursing experience, Elizabeth has cared for individuals across a wide range of healthcare settings, including medical-surgical nursing, emergency medicine, family practice, and psychiatric care. As both a Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, she brings a unique understanding of the connection between physical health, emotional well-being, and overall quality of life.

Elizabeth believes medication is just one part of comprehensive mental health treatment. She takes time to educate clients about their diagnosis, explain treatment options, and develop medication plans that are both effective and individualized. She works collaboratively with clients and their therapists to ensure care is coordinated, recognizing that meaningful healing often requires both biological and therapeutic approaches.

Her approach integrates evidence-based psychiatric care with supportive counseling techniques while emphasizing collaboration, education, and whole-person wellness. Elizabeth's clinical and research interests focus on the impact of psychological trauma on individuals, families, and communities, the role of nurse practitioners in trauma prevention and treatment, and fostering collaboration among healthcare professionals. She also regularly partners with church leaders to provide education on psychological trauma and, for clients who desire faith-based care, thoughtfully explores the relationship between trauma, healing, and faith.

Elizabeth provides medication management for adults experiencing:

  • Trauma and PTSD

  • Anxiety disorders

  • Depression and mood disorders

  • Bipolar disorder

  • Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

  • Stress-related disorders

  • Sleep concerns

  • Other psychiatric conditions requiring medication management

Elizabeth believes successful treatment is built on trust, education, and collaboration. Her goal is to help clients better understand their mental health, feel confident in their treatment decisions, and achieve meaningful improvements in their overall quality of life.
