John Cook
​Masters Level Intern
John has spent more than 25 years in fulltime ministry serving as a pastor in two different churches in Stafford, VA. Currently he serves as the Pastor of Care and Counseling at The Mount Church. His education is in theology with a Bachelors of Ministry from Harding University and a MA in Pastoral Counseling: Marriage and Family from Liberty University. Currently he is a master’s level counseling intern as a final requirement in obtaining his MS in Clinical Mental Health, also from Liberty University. He seeks to use his calming demeanor and personability to partner with clients toward wholeness, growth, and personal development. He is committed to using an integrated approach of evidence- based counseling with an emphasis on person centered and CBT approaches.

He and his wife have been married for more than 35 years and have four adult children. For the past 18 seasons he has coached baseball at a local high school in Stafford County.
