Julia Compher

Julia Compher is currently completing her master’s degree from Liberty University in Clinical Mental health counseling. She is pursuing licensure in the state of Virginia as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Currently Julia is serving in the role intern at Kairos counseling and can see select clients under supervision of our Licensed Professional Counselors. Julia completed her undergraduate degree in psychology and Christian counseling. Julia has a heart for bridging the gap between the importance of the clinical mental health of her clients and providing sound biblical truth for those who are open to receive.

    She has some foundational training in biblical counseling and practices from an intergrative approach with a Christian worldview. As Julia continues to grow as a clinician under the supervision with the vast experience here at Kairos counseling, she will be able to provide care for clients with having the asset of additional resources from other providers in the practice. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband of 29 years, and their saint Bernard. They have two adult children and enjoy going to church and spending time with friends and family. Julia has been a dental hygienist in the Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania area for 24 years and has been going to school full-time to finish her degree in mental health counseling. Julia feels that counseling is something that she has been called to and looks forward to the opportunity to pursue her career as an LPC in the years to come.
